Eligibility: Educational Qualification:-
1.A candidate should have throughout good academic record with minimum 55% marks at the Master’s degree or equivalent (or equivalent grade). Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST Candidate of the State, while physically challenged persons from any part of the country will be given relaxation of 5% marks at Master’s degree. CMWSSB AE Exam Date 2017: The last date to apply online Registration for the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board is 05-04-2017. The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board Selection Committee  will release the e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets minimum before One Week of the examination date and the exam to be conducted as Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test carries maximum 100 Marks.

CMWSSB Jr Assistant Admit Card 2017: As per the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (CMWSSB), Selection of the Candidates would be based on the Marks scored by them in their respective Academic Qualifying Examinations, Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Tests and Oral Interview / Viva-voce. Hence the Selection of the Candidates for Priority Turns will be on the bases of the Marks obtained by the Candidates under different Categories of the Priority Candidates in the respective Category / Community. All the Categories / Communities in the said Government Orders are Eligible for Priority Reservation. However, in respect of the Priority Candidates under Differently-Abled Persons (DAPs), One Arm or One Leg Categories alone are Eligible for the Posts of Assistant Engineer (AE), Senior Accounts Officer (SAO) and Deputy Controller of Finance (DCF / DCoF).

Procedure for Selection: The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board should select the Methodology of Selection for the Initial Appointment to various Services for which Minimum Educational Qualifications are prescribed as Degree shall be as follows:

65 % Weight age for the Marks secured by the Candidate in the Qualifying Board / University Examination 25% Weight age for the Marks obtained in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Examination comprising the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions conducted by the Selection Committee of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board or by any other Committee or the Nodal Agency appointed or nominated by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board. 10% Weight age for the Marks scored in Personal Interview by the Candidate.
