UGC NET January 2017 Results: Available Soon at cbsenet.nic.in
CBSE – Central Board of Secondary Education was successfully conducted the National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the month of January 2017. The CBSE UGC NET exam which was conducted on 22 January 2017 was consisted of three rounds of papers with objective type questions. Each paper had a different standard and difficulty level which increased from the first to the last round. The CBSE is likely to declare the results of CBSE UGC NET Exam 2017 soon on its official website cbse.nic.in.
Main Object of CBSE UGC NET: CBSE – Central Board of Secondary Education now conducts this exam on behalf of UGC for the post of Lecturer and for providing the JRF for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and in research.
For applying for UGC NET programme the qualification is divided into following steps which include obtaining minimum qualifying marks, a merit list will be prepared who have cleared the first step in all subjects.

1. Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.
2. Top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), from the merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only.
3. A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step III.

Candidates who qualify the UGC Test for eligibility for Assistant Professor will be appointed as per the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/ colleges/state governments.
